Union Strong, Union Proud!

I know first-hand the importance of why we need to protect unions, and that is, because they protect us! Unions serve as powerful advocates for workers' rights and through collective bargaining we can ensure fair wages, working conditions, job security, and healthcare benefits to help grow and strengthen our economy.

We need to make sure union interest will be heard in Albany, and I will provide that voice, loud and clear! As I have in the past, I will stand with labor by sponsoring legislation, participating in rallies, writing letters, and making calls.  With your help, I will continue to champion unions and bring home real results for Long Island’s working families!

proud to recognized our Union workers from Rwdsu Local 338 and UFCW 1500.

Supporting Our teachers at a recent NYSUT Rally.

As the daughter of an IBEW union worker, I know how important it is to support those that protect us. I stood with former Suffolk county Presiding Officer Bill Lindsay in support of our unions. He was my mentor and guide as I navigated government policy. I learned from the best!

I stood with Nassau Suffolk Building Trades, as former President Dick O’Kane demanded the mega development Heartland sign a PLA, and I refused to vote in favor of infrastructure change, until there was an agreement to guarantee work to our local union workers.

And I Walked the picket line with Stony Brook University Hospital PEF nurses and EMS staff, to address the issues of pay inequity, staffing ratios and staff retention (May, 16, 2018), and attended events at local schools in support of our local labor.

I participated in union rallies including Suffolk County’s CSEA Local 1000 AFSCME in front of the Coram Health Center to keep the health care facility open.in 2011, and in 2016 to fight for better wages.

I joined Michael Gendron’s CWA Local 1108 to fight for better wages from Verizon.

I walked the picket line at the Clare Rose beer distributor in Yaphank with Teamsters Local 812 to protect their pension and wages in 2017.

I will provide a voice, loud and clear!
